As you know, the purpose of reviewing each game is so fantasy footballers can see each team’s players’ fantasy football stats in one place. This should help fantasy footballers get a feel for where their players are in their team’s offenses, as well as provide a feel for other players that could become fantasy relevant in the near future. In the end, the fantasy football game reviews let fantasy footballers evaluate players so you can set positional rosters each and every week. It can also help you decide whether to go get a player off waivers, whether to try and make a trade, or whether to sit tight with the players on your roster.

With a face-off of two teams struggling badly, something had to give. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, it was their offense that couldn’t get anything going. Ryan Tannehill continued his downward spiral, throwing two interceptions with just 141 yards and a touchdown. Welcome to the NFL, pal. His top two targets, Davone Bess and Brian Hartline totaled less than 100 yards between them with one touchdown. The other score came from the Dolphins DST, which also had three sacks, but no turnovers. Still it was a vast improvement over the last two weeks, when they gave up a combined 60 points.

The Bills collected their first win against a division opponent in two seasons and kept their slim playoff hopes alive. Ryan Fitzpatrick was not stellar, finishing with just 168 passing yards, but avoided any turnovers. Steve Johnson continued the trend as Fitzpatrick’s favorite receiver, and totaled 79 yards. C.J. Spiller had the bulk of the carries as Fred Jackson sat out with a concussion. He rushed for 91 yards on the ground and another 39 through the air. He continues to impress from a fantasy football standpoint despite the fact that he backs up Jackson when he’s healthy. The Bills DST was what really propelled them to victory, however. Sitting near the bottom of all rankings for most of the season, they held the Dolphins to just 184 total yards, had three sacks, three turnovers, and ran a punt back for a touchdown. This was an impressive turnaround from their effort against the Patriots and they’ll look to continue that trend against another rookie quarterback next week.

Larry Fitzgerald once again frustrated fantasy players with his one catch performance, as did Andre Roberts. RB LaRod Stephens-Howling had a great day in a great matchup against the 26th ranked rush defense in the NFL. The Cardinals DST showed you why you should consider them a must play moving forward. Considering the Rams DST ranks statistically near the Falcons DST, proceed with caution with any skill position player on the Cardinals for this week. That is until Kurt Warner, Matt Barkley, or the MVP of your Thanksgiving Day football game get there to help.

Not much here on the fantasy front for the Falcons, except for the ageless Roddy White once again benefiting from Julio Jones (a non-factor this week due to injury) being on the field. White is on pace for over 1,500 yards, which would be his career high. He had more yards than Tony Gonzalez, Harry Douglas, and Jones combined. Michael Turner once again snuck into the end zone to continue his RB2 status. Matt Ryan had the yards, but probably killed you with his five picks. In non-negative league settings, Ryan was likely a stud, with his third straight and fifth overall 300 yard passing performance. The Falcons DST took advantage of the Cardinals’ offense to score one of the teams two touchdowns. Look for everyone to bounce back next week against the 32nd ranked pass defense of the Buccaneers. Continue to play all the Falcon stud players. Turner will continue to be a low end RB 2 against the leagues’ top run D. Jacquizz Rodgers should still be stashed away in deep PPR leagues in case of a Turner injury.

On the heels of a big win last week the Bengals hoped to keep rolling and they did just that against the overmatched Chiefs. Andy Dalton had another strong performance, throwing for 230 yards and two touchdowns while running for another. His pairing with A.J. Dalton may be something to reckon with in the coming years as they connected for 91 yards and a touchdown. Dalton leads all NFL receivers with 10 touchdown catches. The running game proved impressive as well, with BenJarvis Green-Ellis topping 100 yards for the first time this season and scoring his fourth touchdown this year. Lightly used Cedric Peerman even had 75 yards rushing. The Bengals DST was solid, holding the Chiefs to 284 yards, and recording three sacks and a fumble recovery. More importantly they held the Chiefs to just two field goals on the game. But before you get too high on their performance, remember it was the Chiefs.

The Chiefs must have been demoralized after a heartbreaking loss to the Steelers last week. Matt Cassel had just 93 yards passing before being replaced by Brady Quinn at halftime. Quinn was just two yards better, so neither will be lighting up the waiver wire anytime soon. Dwayne Bowe had the worst performance of his disappointing season, but this was a result of a neck injury, and it’s unclear if he’ll play next week. Dexter McCluster (37 yards) and Terrence Copper (33 yards) may get more looks, but with an ineffective quarterback, they don’t have much value. Jamaal Charles, as has been the case all season, was the lone bright spot. He totaled 118 yards, though he was kept out of the end zone. The Chiefs DST, after playing the Steelers tough a week ago, allowed 409 yards and 28 points, while grabbing just two sacks and no turnovers. This has never been a reliable unit and should be avoided at all costs.

If you thought the Browns would be an easy opponent for the Cowboys, you were wrong. The Browns were leading at the end of the third quarter and took overtime for the Cowboys to win. Brandon Weeden threw 210 yards and two touchdowns, but he lost a fumble. Benjamin Watson was the recipient of both touchdown passes and had a couple more for a total of 47 yards. The Browns went run-heavy against the Cowboys, and Trent Richardson rushed 28 times for 95 yards. He also got 49 receiving yards. Wide receivers Greg Little and Josh Gordon amassed 53 yards each. The Browns DST penetrated the Cowboys’ offensive line multiple times, getting seven sacks. Coming up next is a home game against the Steelers, who will be without their starting quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers are strong in the trenches, but the Browns can contain them. If you have no better option, the Browns DST could make for a play this week. On the other hand, Trent Richardson might have a hard time trying to find some space.

The Cowboys needed this win, and they got it. Now, the Cowboys are one win behind the Giants and still in a position to claim a playoff spot. Tony Romo had his third straight game without an interception thrown. He threw for 313 yards, one touchdown and rushed for 10 yards. A lost fumble was the only dark spot in his performance. Felix Jones rushed for 43 yards and a score and caught two balls for 12 yards. Lance Dunbar had 16 yards and Lawrence Vickers had 3 yards. Dez Bryant came out big with 145 yards and a touchdown, while Miles Austin had another sub-par performance with just 58 receiving yards. Jason Witten has done a lot better in the past, but still put up a total of 51 yards. The Cowboys DST was mediocre statistically, but a crucial goal-line stop helped them win the game. Next week, the Cowboys host the rival Redskins. Romo and the Cowboys’ receiving corps have favorable matchups and are considered must-starts.

In what was supposed to be a shootout, this game turned into a mortal performance by Aaron Rodgers. His game-winning pass to Randall Cobb saved the day for the both of them. Jermichael Finley paid dividends if you played him as a bye week substitute. Other than that, Jordy Nelson and James Jones put up frustrating numbers as Rodgers barley missed on several big plays downfield. The Lions’ defense was constantly in the Packers’ backfield. James Starks took advantage of being the lead back, but still averaged 3.0 YPC against a middle of the road rushing defense. Rodgers, Nelson, Jones, and Cobb, still should be in your lineup until Greg Jennings returns, especially Sunday night against the Giants. The defense did its job scoring, and limiting the Lions to less than 400 yards on offense. It still may not be time to trust Finley or Starks going forward in fantasy football, especially now that the bye weeks are over.

In what was supposed to be an easy match-up for Matthew Stafford, going against a Packers DST without Clay Matthews, was a fantasy football dud — more picks than scores and less than 300 yards passing. Calvin Johnson returned to the end zone for the second week in a row, and now has 350 yards receiving over the past two weeks. Mikel Leshoure scored his fifth TD of the season. Tony Scheffler and Brandon Pettigrew, while targeted often, did virtually nothing. Titus Young was a big let-down going against a depleted secondary, opposite of Johnson. For week 12, Stafford, Johnson, and maybe even Ryan Broyles should make for good plays against the Texans, who gave up 236 yards to Justin Blackmon (or 48.6 percent of Justin Blackmon’s season yards) in one game!

No one saw this coming. In a game that was expected to be out of reach for the Jaguars early on, the Jaguars came close to pulling off the biggest upset of the weekend! As was observable last week, and again this week, the Jaguars passing game came alive with Chad Henne, who came in for the injured Blaine Gabbert, under center. This week, the Jaguars passing game tore up the gridiron with Chad Henne having one of the best performances among all quarterbacks this weekend. The Jaguars would be hard-pressed not to make Henne the starting quarterback going forward. Henne will be a quarterback to monitor as he could be useful in the fantasy football playoffs if he can keep up this torrid pace. With Henne under center this week, highly-thought-of rookie Justin Blackmon B-L-E-W U-P the gridiron for 236 yards and 1 touchdown! Blackmon was so good that wide receiver Cecil Shorts, who had a solid performance, felt like an afterthought in the game. Given that Blackmon was targeted often and was spectacular in yards after the catch, Blackmon should be a top waiver-wire-add this week. In Week 11, the Jaguars decided to give Jalen Parmele the start at running back over Rashad Jennings. Parmele took advantage of the opportunity and was productive against the best rush defense in fantasy. Expect Parmele to keep the seat warm for Maurice Jones-Drew which makes him a viable short term waiver add for fantasy players in need of help. While the Jaguars rush defense was particularly good this week, the pass defense got torched.

With so many good things to say about the Jaguars, could there be anything good to say about the Texans? Absolutely! It all starts with quarterback Matt Schaub who exploded for 527 yards passing, which is a league record second most in the modern NFL. Wide receiver Andre Johnson likely had the best game of his career which could have come at the expense of frustrated fantasy footballers who possibly chose not to play him this weekend. This is the kind of offense fantasy players envisioned since the beginning of the season for Schaub and Johnson. Indeed, Schaub’s and Johnson’s performances overshadowed the breakthrough performance of tight-end Garrett Graham who tallied some impressive reception yardage and scored twice. Unexpectedly, Arian Foster had a disappointing outing, totaling under one hundred all purposes yards and no scores. Indeed, back-up Justin Forsett got quite a bit of work which is uncharacteristic for a Texans team that almost exclusively runs through Foster. Regardless of what happened this week, Arian Foster remains a top fantasy football start along with the Texans DST. Owe Daniels should continue to be a consideration for the fantasy football start as well.

Are the Jets fans screaming J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets again after a big win on the road that kept them tied for second place in the AFC East? Not likely, but Mark Sanchez finally had an interception-free game – just his third of the season – and gave his team a chance to win. Shonn Greene led a trio of backs with 64 yards on the ground, though backup Bilal Powell found the end zone twice. The Jets receiving corps were kept quiet, with none going over 50 yards, though Chaz Schilens led all with 48 yards and a touchdown. For now, none of the wide outs are worth starting until Sanchez can get back on track. The Jets DST was quite effective, holding the Rams to 281 yards, with four turnovers and a sack. Now it remains to be seen if they can carry this momentum into an important showdown with the rival Patriots on Thanksgiving.

Brandon Gibson had two touchdown grabs, but totaled just 9 yards. Steven Jackson continued to improve after a very lackluster start as he ran for 81 yards, though he did not score. The Rams DST was effective only in getting to Sanchez, whom they sacked three times. They recorded no turnovers and gave up 27 points to a Jets team that has been held to 10 points or less four times this season.

The Eagles’ slump continues, as they lost their 6th consecutive game and are now at the bottom of the NFC East. Nick Foles made his first appearance as a starter. He started the game turning the ball over in his first two drives and ended up with 204 yards and 2 picks. LeSean McCoy rushed for 45 yards and had 67 yards as a receiver, before he was carted off the field with a concussion. McCoy’s back-up Bryce Brown totaled 35 yards, and DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin both had a disappointing game. Jackson finished with 5 yards and Maclin with zero, which was probably the biggest surprise of the week in fantasy football. On the other hand, Riley Cooper (61 yards) and Damaris Jackson (21 yards) exceeded expectations, but that didn’t help any players in fantasy. Brent Celek finished the game with 42 yards. The Eagles DST didn’t show much, managing just two sacks in the game. The Eagles will try to turn things around on Monday, against the Panthers. However, if Vick and McCoy don’t play, don’t expect much from the Eagles.

Alfred Morris finished with a total of 83 yards and Darel Young got into the endzone with a 6-yard catch. Evan Royster and Brandon Banks had one carry each, going forward for 3 and 6 yards respectively. RGIII did a nice job spreading the ball around, finding six different receivers. Coming back from injury, Pierre Garcon gained just 5 yards, despite catching three passes. Josh Morgan caught the same number of balls, but finished with 25 yards and Leonard Hankerson had 30 yards on two caught passes. Santana Moss and Aldrick Robinson caught one pass each, but it was enough for them to be fantasy-significant (61 yards and 49 yards respectively), as they scored too. The fourth touchdown for Washington was scored by Logan Paulsen (17 yards), who has done a great job filling in for the injured Fred Davis. The Redskins DST had a great afternoon too, with 4 sacks, two picked balls and a recovered fumble. With the Cowboys next on schedule, the Redskins have a chance to spoil their rivals’ playoff plans. The Cowboys have a talented secondary, but they have struggled defensively during the last few weeks. Alfred Morris is a good fantasy football option for your RB2 or flex position.

In the first three quarters of the game, the Panthers looked very much in command of the game. And then, the Buccaneers offense came alive to force the game into overtime. Indeed, quarterback Josh Freeman, wide receiver Vincent Jackson, and tight-end Dallas Clark pulled it together against a Panthers pass defense that is tough despite the team’s losing record. For Clark, he has now scored in three of the last five games. If you haven’t noticed, Doug Martin is a must start as an RB1 each and every week.

Quarterback Cam Newton continues to fall short of everyone’s expectations. In a game where statistically speaking, based on the Buccaneers’ most recent performances, Newton should have posted 330 yards passing and multiple touchdowns. Newton was unable to generate much of a passing offense. Even the one touchdown pass to Brandon LaFell seemed more like a fluke. Steve Smith had a score called back due to an offensive penalty and was otherwise ineffective. Also, tight-end Greg Olsen came back to earth after a monstrous Week 10 performance. Jonathan Stewart ended up being a good fantasy play due to the touchdown score. Notwithstanding this, the Panthers running game continued to struggle. The loss was even more frustrating given the fact that outside of the yardage that was given up, the Panthers defense was making plays and scored once. Cam Newton and Steve Smith are this team’s top fantasy options each and every week.
