Before a single down of football has been played, Super Bowl’s XLVII should be touted as the greatest Super Bowl game ever! Not since the biblical story of Cain and Abel has there been such fraternal drama that will likely have long and far-reaching consequences not only at the family dinner table, but within the history of one of the two storied franchises involved, the Ravens and the Forty-Niners. Add to the story book a last chapter of the illustrious, and controversial career of Ray Lewis, which provides one more dimension to this game’s importance in the history of the sport becomes apparent. Super Bowl Scuffle: The Red, White and Blue Bowl, with a hint of Silver
One thing is true. No one really knows whether the Giants or the Patriots will be the Super Bowl Champ this season. Consider, the spread favors the Patriots by only 3 points. But, many of the football analysts seem to be favoring the Giants over the Patriots – a fact that is not unsettling to most Giants fans, who would be more than happy to have their team seen as the underdog. And the Patriots fans, well, you can’t ask them who they honestly think will win because you know who they are rooting for. This year’s Super Bowl Champ will surprise most people. And if anyone says they knew all along who would win once the tick-tock hits zero, you should take such exclamations of joy with a grain of salt.
