Waiver Targets – Week 16

Week 16 saw some players breakout and help fantasy footballers to Week 16 Championships, like Victor Cruz and C.J. Spiller, while some other players certainly disappointed, like Tim Tebow, Chris Johnson and Michael Bush, and likely dashed many fantasy footballers dreams of a fantasy football championship this week.   There were still some notable injuries this week which could affect rosters for next week for those playing in Week 17 playoffs.   We will simply list all the most notable injuries as follows: Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 14

Week 14 is in the books, and fantasy footballers are in the thick of the playoffs. We will simply list all the most notable injuries as follows: Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 13

Week 13 is in the books, and for many fantasy footballers, the playoffs are beginning this week. For many other fantasy footballers, Week 14 is the last week of their regular season. Coupled with the NFL games having their own playoff implications, you have to love this time of year!!!! Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 12

Week 12 seemed to be a tough week for having many players post really good, statistical games. Indeed, it seemed that there was a big drop off in performance between the very best (let’s say top-five or top-ten) players by offensive position (QB, RB, WR, TE) and then everybody else. If your team seemed to under perform, it was likely not because of anything you did in making your fanatsy football choices this week. Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 11

When people ask The Fantasy Greek what the difference is between this season and last, the answer is that there have been a large number of injuries this year making it very difficult for fantasy footballers (novice and experienced alike) to select players from waivers with some forethought as to how they will play any given week. It’s even been a challenge just to keep a roster filled with quality reserves.  Instead of one fantasy team hit by the injury bug, there are literally several. Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 9

There were those players that blew it up, and in many instances, may not have been on fantasy gridirons like RB Willis McGahee, RB Reggie Bush, RB Ben Tate, WR Julio Jones, and WR Jacoby Ford. Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 8

Week 8 was a bad week to have played the usual go-to fantasy players like QB Drew Brees or QB Tom Brady. It was also a bad week to have to start one of the bye week quarterbacks, like QB Joe Flacco or QB Andy Dalton, with the expectation that they would lead your fantasy team to victory. On the other hand, there was probably more normalcy in scoring than last week.

Compared to Week 7 where numerous players succumbed to injury, Week 8 saw players mostly just banged up, more than anything else. We the most notable injuries as follows: Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 7

Every fantasy season, there is always a week where numerous players succumb to injury. This year, Week 7 was a fantasy owner’s nightmare given the number of players hurt, and especially if you owned more than one of the players that were injured this past week. In fact, rosters likely resemble triage of the 4-0-7-7 of M*A*S*H unit, Continue reading

Waiver Targets – Week 5

After Week 5, it’s pretty obvious the season is heating up. Even teams that have been struggling, like the Colts and Chiefs, looked much better in Week 5, than they did in Week 1. The Broncos made a late game-change to Tim Tebow, and their unit looked invigorated on the field. Continue reading
