By John Bush. This report presents the 2016 seasonal fantasy football player performances using a common positional metric: Performance Scoring Figure (PSF).
The report can be used to compare the seasonal fantasy point production of all players regardless of the position in Non-PPR leagues. The scale is from 100 (Best) to 0 (Worst). The top players are color-coded green and the bottom players are color-coded red. (For the PPR version of this report, click here.)
Each player’s weekly PSF was averaged and listed in the “Avg Non-PPR PF” column. The number of games the player was measured on is listed under “#GAMEs.”
A team positional player data view follows and highlights the players Performance Scoring Figure within their team.
These numbers can be used to start setting your 2017 fantasy football draft tiers. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is at the top tier with a 77.1 PSF. Then, there is a substantial drop in PSF scoring with Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, and Drew Brees forming a “second” tier right behind Rodgers with PSFs of 68 to 70.2. Andrew Luck forms s “third” tier with 65.6 PSF.
2017 rookies can be analyzed and inserted into the tiers right after the 2017 rookie draft.

This is a complete data set for each NFL Team. Each position is separated and each player’s PSF and games played is noted below. This data indicates the role and the level of each player’s performance by team.
Questions this data can help answer for the 2017 season include:
- Does the team have a running back by committee or do they lean on one premier running back?
- Does the team divide their pass attempts among several players or a few?
- How good are the players PSF values among and between the positions?
Looking at the Arizona Cardinals, David Johnson is the team’s premier running back. Andre Ellington played 12 games but had an average PSF of 4.7 (poor) while Kerwynn Williams played 4 games but had a 24.1 PSF .
